Luminescence
Ratio uses non-radioactive luminescent paint for the luminescence in the Freediver 1000m watch. It is a non-radioactive, radiant paint that's applied generously on the hands and the indices of the Freediver. The paint exhibits greater intensity and longer-lasting luminescence. Its output duration doesn’t let you compromise on visibility; let it even be for a few extra hours in the dark! A 10-minute long exposure to 500 lux or higher intensity light will charge the lume for the next 3-5 hours.
A continuous 8-hour exposure to Sunlight on a normal summer day will let it glow for 10+ hours. The longevity of the paint is semi-permanent, ensuring full functionality of the watch even after years of active use.

I bought the black faced automatic with day and date. I have changed the strap to a 24mm black and grey strap seat belt quality NATO and it looks superb. A good time keeper and the manual winding is handy. Great in the dark and superb value. Watch out if you buy via eBay as you will get hit for duty charges (approx £31.00)
The fit and finish at least to my eyes is sensational. The watch is beautiful, easy to get started and adjust the day, date and time. Time keeping ability to be measured and commented on a later date. I thought the watch would be bigger from the literature, I'm NOT complaining; it's the perfect size and it is heavyweight but not excessively so. This watch feels a home on my wrist from the start. Well done Pi Ratio.
